Programmable Key
The key can be programmed as normal key or long & short key by PC software. And the key can be programmed with these functions: monitor, monitor temporarily, squelch off, squelch off temporarily, VOX, announce battery power and emergency alert.  
Voice Prompts
This feature enables radio to report current channel, scan status and VOX status when users press corresponding function key. It brings convenience to users in special applications, such as working in the darkness.
PTT ID Encode
It provides identification of radio to control center, which is convenient for communication management.
CTCSS / CDCSS / 2-Tone
Unique CTCSS /CDCSS are useful to setup group users to avoid unwanted conversations on the same channel. The 2-Tone function is assigned based on per channel, the incoming message is signaled with audio and indicator flashing at the same time.
Emergency Alert
Press the preset emergency key to emit emergency alarm, or send ENI or background noise to pre-defined person or dispatch center.
Announce Battery Power
Voice prompt reminds users to replace or charge the battery in time when the battery power is low.
High/Low Power Switch
The radio can be switched between low power and high power. To save power, users can switch it to lower power mode when talk distance is short.
VOX
Hands-free operation is available when VOX function is turned ON.
25.0 kHz/ 12.5 kHz Switch
Different channel spacing 25.0kHz /12.5kHz are optional to comply with the regulations of different countries.
TOT
The feature allows for more efficient use of channels by limiting the amount of time of each transmission. Also, it effectively avoids radio damage because of long-time transmission.
Busy Channel Lockout (BCL)
BCL is used to protect the on-going conversation from unwanted interference.
Squelch (1~9 selectable)
It can minimize interference from undesired weak signals and enable weak signals to be heard.
Talk Confirmation Tone
Release PTT when the conversation is over and the receiver will hear the roger tone.
Monitor
To hear a weak signal, press MONI key. And it helps adjust volume when no signal is received.
Squelch Tail Elimination
The function will minimize the annoying audio outputs that occur at the receiver on completion of a transmission.
Scan
This feature enables radio to scan every channel in scanning list by pressing side key to activate scanning. In this way, the user can detect which channel is used by partners, and then transmit signals to start communicating.
Wired Clone
To quickly set the parameters on a radio, you can clone the radio data from another radio with the supplied data cable, saving the time of parameter setting.
PC Programming
Frequency and various features can be set by PC programming software.
