LCD Display
TH-2890 embeds a LCD screen to display necessary information, such as signal level, current channel frequency and remaining battery, etc.
Reverse Frequency  
Tx frequency and CTCSS/CDCSS setting can be switched with Rx frequency by a proper operation. Users can communicate with two groups of people without any reprogramming. It is convenient to handle dedicated situations.
Dual Frequency Channel Receiver
This function allows TH-2890 to receive signals from two different frequency channels simultaneously. It helps users to collect more information from different sources and to get their work done more efficiently.
VOX
This function allows users to talk without pressing PTT key.
CTCSS / CDCSS
Unique CTCSS / CDCSS are useful for group users to avoid unwanted eavesdropping on the same channel.
Keypad Lock/Unlock
PTT and the middle function key can be used only when the keypad lock function is on. This can prevent users from pressing by mistake.
Scan
TH-2890 provides two channel scanning modes which are TO (time operation) and CO (carrier operation). The two different modes are used according to different situations.
BCL (Busy Channel Lockout)
It stops users starting talking if there is any conversation on going.
VFO/MR
TH-2890 has two main work modes, VFO and MR. Users can enter a certain channel frequency to get into the channel in VFO mode. In MR mode, users can get into the channel by either entering channel's frequency or channel's name.
FM Radio
HQT TH-2890 supports FM radio of which frequency is between 76~108MHz. FM radio can be stored 20 sets of frequency.
Stop Watch
This function allows users to record time from 1 second to 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
Kill/Enable
It provides enhanced security to stop unauthorized users by disabling or enabling of either transmit or both transmit and receive. The disabled radios will return to normal operation when receiving a DTMF signal.
